Giant Ballarat has a rich and established history in the cycling industry, established in 1978 by Dennis Shaw off the back of a successful cycling career as both amateur and professional. Initially the business was located in Albert St Sebastopol however Dennis and the business had quickly outgrown that location and moved to a shared location in Skipton St Ballarat.

In the early 1990’s Dennis would be part of a landmark group of bicycle retailers that would form the founding members of Giant Bicycles Australia. In 2010 the business again outgrew its location and expanded to take up both shop fronts at the Skipton St location where Giant Ballarat can be found today.

In 2016 Patrick Shaw (Dennis’s Son), joined the business, like his father Patrick had enjoyed a very successful cycling career as both amateur and professional in Australia and abroad, having competed in Europe and Asia.

Krooz'n Car Club is associated with the Forest Rangers Soccer Club. Our aim is to introduce new members who may or may not have a vintage,veteran or classic car but enjoy the social atmosphere of being a member to both clubs and be involved in family orientated functions, have fun and make new friends!
